January in Scottsdale means weather that’s unbelievable, golf tournaments, and car shows. The Barrett-Jackson to be more specific. More than just another car show, this venue brings people from all over the world, (lots of them on their own private jets). Just walking around is sensory overload. You’d think that acres of classic cars would be enough, but if you take a minute to look around at the people, you’ll see a mix like you’ve never seen anywhere. Millionaires and wannabe’s galore. Girls walking around in skimpy skirts and high-heels (worth the trip alone)...

I happened across this old pickup that was restored and is regularly a winner of the “best of” something at some of the major car shows in the country. I couldn’t help but notice the pride that the owner had in his voice while I was asking him questions about it. You see, he actually restored the entire truck by himself, every square inch of it. And it was truly amazing to look at. The attention to detail that he’d incorporated into it was truly amazing. Just imagine if everyone did this with everything they did throughout their day.
