Writing about friends is easy but I wanna be serious and honest. I just witnessed something I haven’t heard in a long, LONG, time… Music with talent, oozing their souls through their instruments and vocals. Working a crowd like no one does anymore. It hit me like a wall of sound and truly changed the way I’ve listened to music for years. The way they play you’ll understand why they are named “We Should Be Dead” (they play putting it out their each time like it’s their last gig!) If you ever wonder how you know when someone “just has it”? Well. They got it!

The Dead on StageThese guys can REALLY write, play, and sing, and after being with them for a weekend at a couple venues I couldn’t help but notice that EVERYONE who wasn’t tapping their feet or moving their heads, couldn’t help but do exactly that before they reached the middle of their first song! The coolest thing is that after sitting with them, I mean like at my house or dinner and really talking with them, they really have their shit together. Not the typical “wanna be, drug induced idiots” that I have known (and for a very short time I should point out) and are worth wanting to know. They get it, they know it takes hard work and ethics, and they have no shortage of either.

"T" Singing AwayTara, aka “T” (lead vocals, synth) is, well, amazing, what can I say, you could actually fall in love with her in a matter of minutes. Belinda Carlisle and Debbie Harry get outta the way! Anna (guitar, vocals) rides it like she stole it making sure you hear every note and her hair matches their Orange Amps (and is my favorite human hi-liter!). Gary (bass) just oozes cool and rolls down the neck as smooth as they come, and Steve (drummer and song-writer) is exactly what you’d demand of the captain of the hi-hat, relentless, on top of his game, and never misses a beat (and can sweat with the best of em)! And did I say they’re all great people!

Steve, DrumsGetting side-tracked by bullshit and butt-lickers isn’t their style. Getting you to have fun and playing tunes that you can’t help but hum the whole next day IS, and something I’ll guarantee you’ll be doing.

Anna, GuitarI don’t care if you go to Arizona State University or you’re 45, these guys deliver on fun and it’s not bubble gum crap, it’s serious pop-rock that you’ll be telling everyone you know about the next day, and you’ll be smiling doing it. Take the time to visit their site We Should Be Dead, and go to google and read the reviews from Ireland. There’s a reason the top DJs in the US are talking about them after just a couple of weeks being here. They’re the real deal.

Gary, BassJust Google “We should be dead” and you’ll find reviews and videos that are worth reading/watching.

Don’t believe it? Watch this! (YouTube is being gay, sometimes their video stops at 0:21 seconds, hopefully it’s fixed when you’re watching it, if not click here to see).

(Better yet, get your ass in the car, go see them and have fun).
